Phase One Complete

It has been an exciting few weeks which has seen Phase 1 of the Panther Project finished.

We can now boast a newly decorated hall, separate boys and girls toilets, disabled access, toilet and shower. New electrics and an enlarged new kitchen.

The fundraising continues to raise the money for Phase 2 which will see the HQ extended to include an entrance lobby, meeting rooms and storage facilities.

Brief backround

The headquarters was built in 1972 through the direct physical and financial hard work of the parents at the time. The HQ's last major structural work was in the late 90's with the laying of a new floor in the main hall. Prior to this the only change to the HQ was to replace the original flat roof with the pitched roof, in the early eighties. (Back when the Scout leaders were only scouts!)

Now we wish to bring the HQ into the 21st century and we need the help of everybody to achieve this.

In May 2009 we were given planning permission we needed to proceed with this big project.


A Project Team has been put together called Panther to arrange all the events needed to achieve this daunting task. But the work has only just begun as we need to raise £100,000.00
